Compare the complete rectangle
Use the pad’s outer dimensions when checking a frame or tray. The absorbent-center measurement alone can omit the border needed by a retaining mechanism.
Ask about tabs and edges
Check whether the holder clamps, folds or covers an edge and whether that conflicts with the pad instructions. We have not tested adhesive tabs on any surface or third-party tray.
Do not make fit a capacity claim
A pad fitting inside a tray does not guarantee containment or successful use. Confirm the manufacturer’s exact compatibility statement and preserve return options.
Keep the retaining area visible
If a frame covers part of a pad, record that physical overlap separately from the maker’s active-area dimensions. The rectangle underneath a clamp is not automatically unusable in every design, and the exposed rectangle is not independently proven absorption area. The relevant question is whether the exact pad and holder makers support the combination and whether the directions can be followed without modification.
Before you decide
- Measure whole pad
- Read fastening requirements
- Do not infer containment
